The Dead Sea is the richest source of minerals and trace elements that are beneficial to the body and soul. It contains 345 grams of minerals salts per litre including 26 different minerals and an extraordinary content of Bromides (5360 mg/litre).
These minerals and trace elements are of vital importance to cell metabolism and the stabilisation of the moisture content of the skin. The molecular structure of the minerals allows them to nourish its cells. The main functions of the major minerals can be summarised as follows:
Mg (Magnesium) – Anti allergen especially for sensitive skin, a moisturiser and cofactor for many enzymes necessary for cell activity.
Na (Sodium) – Active in transport system across cell membranes, enabling nourishing substances to move in and toxic materials to move out.
Br (Bromine) – Antiseptic, heals and relieves skin diseases such as psoriasis, soothing and helps in relaxation of nerve endings.
K (Potassium) – Increases the rate of metabolism and helps in regeneration and growth of cells.
Cl (Chlorine) – Improves minerals balance of the cells.
Ca (Calcium) – Strengthens cell membranes, relieves pains, activates enzymes.
Zn (Zinc) – Participates in enzymatic regulation of cell proliferation.
